Soon after the first anniversary of his father’s suicide, 17-year-old Charlie Wyatt is admitted to Haven House, a group home for teens suffering with PTSD. On his journey to heal from his mentally debilitating symptoms, Charlie discovers the mysterious truth about his past and forges unbreakable friendships. With the help of two new friends, Charlie realizes that the only way to move forward is to dive into his past and put together the pieces of his memory that he’s blocked out. The group of troubled teens turned sleuths spend their days at Haven House digging into Charlie’s past while discovering quite a bit about themselves in the process. The Things We Forget is a coming-of-age YA novel exploring themes of friendship, vulnerability, and healing.
