Jefferson’s dreams of acting come to an abrupt end after his parents demand he represent the Hawthorne’s political interests by running for Congress.Jefferson’s vast trust fund is liquidated to win the election. He quickly becomes a national political figure by blitzing the American media. He appears on both liberal and conservative programs, stirring up both sides to play the part of the Heel. Jefferson has the spotlight for the first time in his life, and he decides to use his privilege for the betterment of the country.
